  In Exchange online we provide 3 layers of Recovery so that messages can be recovered Deleted Items Folder Recover Deleted Items Folder Purges Folder     Deleted Items Folder When a mail is deleted(normal Delete not shift Delete) its moved to Deleted Items folder and its present there until, either we manually delete the messages from there or its deleted automatically as per the Retention Policy of the Organization(default value is 30 days)   Recover Deleted Items Folder   When a mail is Shift deleted(hard deleted), or deleted from Deleted items or removed from deleted items by the Retention policy, its moved to the Recover Deleted Items Folder and it remains there for next 14 days (can be extended to 30 days).   There are 2 folders under Recovery Deleted Items Deleted Folder(its not the normal Deleted folder in the mailbox) Purges Folder    When the mail is present in Recovery Deleted Items(Deleted folder) i

Restore data for a deleted office 365 user

We need to create a New user and assign it a Exchange online licenses and let the mailbox be provisioned. Once the Mailbox is created for the new user, proceed further. While Showcasing the ATP features to a client in a POC i noticed the following. ATP - Safe Attachment rule is set as Replace - Block bad attachment and continue to deliver the mail. However the Mail is not delivered it is deleted completely. Solution  Go to Exchange Admin Center > Protection > Malware Filter By default the Malware Policy is set to delete the entire mail if something is found as malware in the mail or attachment. Edit your Default policy. 1. Change the Default Setting to - Delete attachment and use default alert text or Custom Alert "depending on your requirement. In my case i had kept as default alert text. 2. You can also customize the Notification too.  3. You can also set the settings so that it will notifies the sender and sender for the undelivered of the Mail. 4. If your user is having sync issue causing by file path, you can ask him to shorten the file name or move the file to outer layer, as we do have sync limitation for files which file path is longer than 256 characters. Office 2013 users are getting PoP up to upgrade to office 2016

Perhaps the purpose is to prevent the users from receiving banner to upgrade to Office Pro Plus 2016? If yes, following steps by modifying registry could help to achieve this. Kindly help to run Regedit from windows search box to open Registry Editor. Please help to go to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\15.0\ClickToRun\Updates Please locate registry key UpgradeAdvertised and change its value to 0 If perhaps this registry key cannot be found, please help to create a new one with UpgradeAdvertised as its name and enter 0 as its value. Office 2013/2016 slowing your system or creating issues

1.   Open start menu and search “MSCONFIG”. Under system configuration> select, selective  startup. 2.       Go to Services in System configuration and click Hide all Microsoft services Option and click disable all. 3.       Go to Startup Tab and unchecked all 3 rd party item that was not necessary to run automatically in the system and click apply. Restart is required. 4.       Also remove all temp files from the following folder, prefetch, temp and %temp% . To open the the 3 folders, Open Run and type each time the folder name. 5.       Run Disk Clean up and Defragmentation. You can search the program in the windows if you are not familiar with the location. 6.       Search Advanced System Settings and set the Performance virtualization to low than it appear, like if shows 10000 set to 5000 and try to check again. Please note with the default value so you can revert it back when other issue occur. 7.       Open Excel, go to File > Option > Trust center
